Samsung has announced the creation of a new UK arts prize specifically aimed at recognising digital and media art.
The winner of the Samsung Art + prize will be announced on 29th January 2012 by a jury including Financial Times art editor Janet Dalley, artist Sooja Kim and chairman of the ZKM Centre for Art and Media, Dr Peter Weibel. One of the 10 nominees will win a prize of £10, 000, which will be awarded during a ceremony at London’s BFI.

An exhibition of the nominees’ work will run at Project Space, BFI Southbank, from 18th – 29th January 2012.
